This assignment had me troubled for a long time. I couldn't get my head around a social networking site. I also had a little panic when I found that a draft had to be up by the 20th March, I thought I was never going to get it done. I read through the companion website again and looked at the examples. I found them extremely helpful and picked a wedding as my social situation. For my networking site I decided to use Tumblr as I'd heard a lot of good comments about it. I'd never used the site before so I decided to make an account and use it for assignment 1b. It was fantastic! and so easy to apply, it took me no longer than ten minutes to get my account started up.

For my social situation I decided that a wedding was a good choice. A wedding needs to be planned properly and organised. Using Tumblr is a great way of keeping everyone informed about important details. I found that Tumblr is a fantastic way to show pictures, add quotes, audio, text etc. A wedding is a perfect social situation to go with using Tumblr.

For the assignment I knew we had to take screen shots so as I went through the steps I captured the shots. I used the program Jing and it helped me to some extent. After I had made my account I found it much easier to work on my instructions. I am looking forward to reading the comments from my peer review so I can improve my assignment a lot more.
